Keep Calm and Sew On is our motto. We are very aware of the bushfire crisis which is gripping our country and our surrounding towns. In Bright we are safe, it is somewhat smokey, however the fire is currently about 18km away in the bush and wind conditions are favourable. Emergency services are working tirelessly creating containment lines to keep the fire away from our towns and we thank all of them from the bottom of our hearts for their efforts. We remain alert and continue to monitor the situation.
The timing of the crisis couldn't be worse for our towns, up until January 2 we were full of happy tourists and visitors and 2020 had started well. The tourists were told to leave and many locals also left.
So here we sit, a shop full of stock and very few customers. I am keeping busy working on new projects for the new year and upcoming pop up shops and Craft Alive. If you receive our enewsletter you will know that our Half Yearly Clearance started January 8. Most of the fabrics and patterns are loaded in the online store and we also welcome phone orders.
