Indian Tote Bag

indian tote bag

Just finished making this bag from the Culture Club Cruise. I used the panel in the spice colourway and teamed it with the green collage from the Camelot range and used the spice medalllion in the lining. The bag stands up nicely with the help of Matilda’s Own Bag Batting. Kits are priced from $76.20 in the pictured fabric, batting is $11.95. Also available in the jewel colourway.

truly aussie close up

Here is a close up of the Truly Aussie quilt. The quilt was designed by Helen Stubbings from Hugs’n Kisses and Helen was kind enough to loan me the original. The pattern includes all the designs printed for the front and sayings for the back as well as iron on transfers. Helen’s instructions are easy to follow and you can make the quilt in the quilt as you go style, which I love. The quilt will be on display for a little while longer, so drop in and have a look.

Queen of quilt tops

Friday, January 13th, 2012

I managed to finish the two more quilt tops yesterday, but I am beginning to feel like the “Queen of Toppers”. I don’t seem to get them to the quilting table. There always another top to make! I WILL put a quilt on the quilting frame today!

Anyway, here is Mod Runway and Baby. The fabric kits are made up and ready to go.

The idea with this quilt is you can applique the baby’s name in the centre of the heart. It’s a really quick quilt to make and could work for either a boy or girl, just add more or less pink.

sip and sew bag made with under the australian sun 2 fabrics

Today I made up a ‘Sip & Sew’ sample using the pattern from Chandlers Cottage. This one features the butterfly fabric in black, the blue gum flower and green gum flower fabrics from the Under the Australian Sun 2 fabric range.  The kit is $19.70 which includes 3 fabrics, cord, four glass beads and the pattern. You can choose any combination of three fabrics from the range.  You will have enough to make two bags. Let me know if you would like one.
